aluco is a software startup with the goal of making the logistics industry more efficient, innovative and sustainable. For this purpose, we offer our customers a unique combination of freight measurement and automated dispatching. With the help of our freight measurement system, the shipments are recorded in the incoming goods department of the freight forwarding company and their dimensions are calculated. In addition, image recognition is used to record further information such as labels and symbols. This data is then transferred to the freight forwarder's transport management system, where it is added to the existing data records. Based on this data, our second software module – automated dispatching – takes over. This automatically plans which shipment has to go to which resource (e.g. truck) so that it is delivered on time. This not only allows us to reduce the planning effort by more than 70 %, but also to save costs and time. In addition, the optimized planning saves trucks and extra tours, which in return has a positive effect on the sustainability of the company.
